The short answer
Pocketpair’s current server guide lists 16 GB of RAM, recommends more than 32 GB for stability, and recommends at least four CPU cores. It warns that an 8 GB machine can boot but is more likely to run out of memory. Campworld offers a 4-player Palworld Vanilla world in Europe for €39.90 per month, subject to capacity. Each instance has a 16 GiB game-memory limit and up to four vCPUs on a shared host; larger, progressed worlds may need more resources. [1]
Booting is only the beginning.
Pocketpair specifies a 64-bit Windows or Linux environment, recommends fast SSD storage, and uses UDP 8211 as the default game port. The official requirements distinguish being able to start the process from running it reliably. [1]
A host advertising “up to 32 players” has not told you how your own world will behave. Ask about the memory available to your instance, CPU contention, what happens at the memory limit, and whether world size or active players affect the recommendation. Judge a plan by the workload it can sustain, rather than the largest number on the product card.
What a dedicated setup actually involves.
Pocketpair provides a dedicated server tool through Steam and SteamCMD, plus a Linux startup script. Its official deployment guide is the place to obtain the current installation steps. [2]
Choose a location near the group, decide who will administer the world, and keep access details out of public channels. If you self-host, restrict administrative interfaces and keep the game-facing network rule as narrow as practical. Set up a separate place for backups before your friends invest time in the world.
- Choose resources against the official requirements, with room for growth.
- Use current official installation and configuration instructions.
- Check the network path from an actual player’s device.
- Verify the supported platforms and server version before inviting everyone.
- Test a backup and a separate restore before relying on the save.
Ask for a session test, not just a running process.
A useful acceptance test looks like your intended evening: friends join, explore separate areas, return to developed bases, then reconnect after a controlled restart. Record which version and world were tested. A brand-new empty save tells you little about a group’s established world.
Also ask how updates work. Who decides when to restart? Can you download the save? What happens if an update causes trouble? Good answers make the service easier to live with after the first successful login.
Where Campworld stands.
Palworld Vanilla is open for orders at €39.90 per world per month for up to 4 players in Europe. The console confirms available capacity before Stripe Checkout. Each player needs their own compatible game copy. Backups contain world saves, with a separate safety copy before restore.
Our native runtime, real provisioner and off-node save restoration have been checked. Cross-play is configured for Steam, Mac App Store, Xbox / Microsoft Store and PS5. Our first licensed-client and cross-platform session check is still pending. Steam / Mac use the address and port; Xbox / PS5 rely on community-list discovery. Contact support before ordering if that route is essential to your group.
